Famous 82nd Airborne in 1943 fought in North Africa, dropped into Sicily, Salerno onto Naples, beach landings at Anzio. Then dropped into Normandy on 6th June D Day, St Mere Eglise, Carantan. Holland Market Garden Nijmegen Bridge. Back to Belgium for the Battle of the Bulge at Werbomont. StVith, across the Ruhr into Koln, taking the city of Ludwigst and Berlin. The division fought in seven campaignsare were credited with 422 days of combat taking 6993 KIA or wounded.
