WWII U.S. 106th Infantry Division Patch - Golden Lion

A good example of the 106th patch. Clean example.

Entered the ETO in November 1944. After relieving the 2dn Division in the Schnee Eifel area on the 11th December, on the 16th the Division was attacked by the full weight of the German winter offensive at the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes. The Division became encircled in the St Vith area and when the Third Army broke through, they were fighting in Manhay on Christmas day, Into Germany ending the war in Bad Elms. 63 days of combat with 8627 KIA or wounded which were mostly lost in the first five days of the Ardennes campaign.
