WWII U.S.Army 4th Infantry Division Patch - Ivy Division

Here is an early 4th Infantry Division Patch in excellent condition. Fully embroidered.
Large size at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

The 4th Infantry Division loaded at Portsmouth to assault the northern coast of German-held France during the Normandy landings, landing at Utah Beach, 6 June 1944. Relieving the isolated 82nd Airborne Division at Sainte-Mère-Église, the 4th cleared the Cotentin peninsula and took part in the capture of Cherbourg on 25 June. Also fought in Ardennes Battle of the Bulge, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany.
