WWII 8th Air Force Officer Pilot Tunic
Here is an early American made Officers service tunic which has been tailored in England to become an”Ike” jacket which was popular with Yank Officers that liked to add style to their uniforms.
Fully badged with a pair of Pilot wings pin back and marked sterling.
Three piece English made ribbon bar DFC-Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and an ETO ribbon with three campaign stars.
English made 8th Air force patch to the left sleeve.
US and Avaiation Branch insignia to the lapels with early “Phinney” clutch back fittings.
2nd Lieutenant rank to the collars marked Shoulder form.
Three overseas bars to the lower left sleeve.
Labels reads 40L (now short) and dated August 1942.
Not named and no other history available, good condition little age and service wear and no moth.
