WWII US Army Air Force - Enlisted Service Jacket
Here is an 8th Air Force USAAF four packet Enlisted Service Jacket. Which I believe would be a Sergeant ground crew member. The jacket consists of the following:-
1. Fully badged M-1942 Service tunic with English made 8th Air Force patch to the right shoulder Sergeantrank to both arms, lower left sleeve three 6 months overseas bars and below a 3 year service stripe. Army Air Corp patch to the top left sleeve. To the lower right sleeve an English made Engineering Specialist patch. Aviation branch and US collars both with screw back fixing. Above the right breast pocket an Honourable discharge (Ruptured Duck) patch.
The tunic has part of a the Army number G 6967 and 467-SD.
Also included as found three medals, Good conduct, European Theatre and WWII Victory Medals as pinned on the uniform.
Please note - some moth on the bottom left pocket and one on the back.
