311th Bombardment Disney Patch

A Disney Style Leatherette patch with age and light wear.

"Duckling" 311th Bombardment Squadron World War II Insignia Original Art. This little guy is armed with a couple of blockbuster bombs and is ready to go! The 311th Fighter Squadron was deployed to the Southwest Pacific Theatre in 1943; that unit was known as the "Sidewinders," but we must assume the Bombardment Squadron separate.

These patches were made in the World War II and War era for collectors. They were never issued or worn on the uniforms by active duty military personal. In the 1940's and early 1950's they could be ordered from firms such as Patch King, Insignia Mart, Hobby Guild and others
